I sorta picked this place out of a hat. I got there and talked to the guy about my problem. I needed a complete rebuild of the engine and transmission. He quoted me a good price and gave an estimate of 3 weeks. After explaining to him that I was seriously short on time, he said he could get it done in 6 days, so I paid him 60% up front and he started work. Well... he ordered parts, and didn't even start dismantling until they arrived. Trans parts came in a day late, so that understandibly made it take longer. But after day 7 he's telling me that they just started working on the tranny, when parts have been there for two days now, and for next three days after that it was "one more day". Now I'm on day 12 (I needed to have the work finished SIX DAYS AGO) stuck in El Paso when I should be home, and I'm going to lose my job because of the delay. I could come to terms with the delay if it was for a good reason, but I'm fairly certain they've simply been lying to me about the amount of work they've been doing on my car. They've assured me every time I call or show up that they have been diligently working on it, but it doesn't take over 240 hours to rebuild an engine and a transmission. I don't understand the delays, I'm not even paying by the hour. You'd think they just wanna get it done and out of the way instead of having me show up everyday asking about it. My only consolation is that they're going to warranty the work, so it turns out to be a shoddy job they're going to pay for it to get fixed.

TL;DR They lie about how long it will take, and probably about everything else too. They take thier sweet friggin time doing work.
